Position Summary:

This course explores the nexus between social justice and health. How do various social, economic and environmental influences impact health? How can addressing inequities relating to issues such as socioeconomic status, race, gender, social support, food security and living and working conditions, improve population health?

Qualifications - Other: Master’s Degree with a disciplinary focus in social determinants of health of social science in health or medicine. Previous university teaching experience and refereed publications in the area preferred, but not essential.

Salary: $5,554.87 (online stipend)

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement, for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.  All applicants are assessed using both the “Appendix H: Assessment of CTF Candidates under 13.6.1” in the collective agreement and the program specific rubric.
