The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Finance area, commencing July 1, 2025. This position is subject to budgetary approval.  

 

Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in Finance, or related fields, obtained in the last 3 years, although ABD near completion (within one year) will be considered. Candidates should have a strong record or promise in both research and teaching in the area. The position is open to all areas of finance; however, candidates with research in Theoretical Asset Pricing will be given priority.

 

Successful candidates for the position must have:

  • Demonstrated research potential in the field of Finance,
  • Ability (a) to publish in top-tier business journals and (b) to maintain a highly productive research agenda,
  • Ability to effectively teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, PhD, and MFin) levels;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience.
