The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Operations and Decision Sciences area, commencing July 1, 2023. These positions are subject to budgetary approval.

 

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics has over 150 full-time faculty and more than 6000 undergraduate and graduate students on campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, and a location in Toronto, Ontario. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. or completion within one year of a PhD in Management Science, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field and a strong record or promise in both research and teaching in the area. For at least one of these positions, research and teaching expertise in business analytics will be considered an asset.

 

Successful candidates for the position must have:

  • Demonstrated research potential in the field of operations management and/or business analytics;
  • Demonstrated ability (a) to publish in top-tier journals and (b) to maintain highly productive research agenda;
  • Ability to effectively teach core decision sciences, operations management, and business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, MMA, MSc, and PhD) levels;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience.
